Upgrading at the Airport

Airport upgrades are only available on flights with ticket number 055 operated by ITA Airways. Your original purchase in Economy or Premium Economy Class must also meet ITA's standard criteria. You can verify your eligibility directly with airport staff during check-in or at the transfer desk if you have a connecting flight.
Upgrades can be requested at the airport from two hours to 40 minutes before the departure of your flight, depending on the country of departure.
The upgrade request is subject to seat and meal availability and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, solely at the discretion of ITA Airways.

Lounge access or additional baggage is not included on upgrades purchased at the airport.

Additional Information

The following bookings are not eligible for an upgrade:

  1. Tickets for which special assistance has been requested
  2. Tickets with bookings including children under 2 years of age
  3. Tickets with an animal traveling in the cabin

If you purchase an upgrade, any additional options from your original travel class (e.g., Seat selection) are non-refundable.
