Female Talent
ITA Airways' commitment to promoting female talent in aviation was recently highlighted by a communications initiative featuring Captain Francesca Longhi, the first woman to complete the Company's new Command Courses. To mark International Women's Day on March 8, 2022, her letter—dedicated to the dreams, ambitions, and determination of women in achieving their life goals—was featured in a campaign across major national newspapers.
To promote female leadership within the company, ITA Airways supports IATA’s 25by2025 campaign. This global initiative aims to improve gender balance in the aviation industry by increasing the number of women in senior management and underrepresented roles by 25%, or to a minimum of 25%, by 2025.
The 2024 Sustainability Report indicates that women make up 32% of first- and second-line management and 44% of the company’s total workforce.
