Consult your doctor before leaving and make sure you have all the necessary documents.

Health Documentation

A MEDIF health clearanceThe link will be opened in a new browser tab dated no earlier than seven (7) days before departure is required if:

  • You are in the last four weeks of pregnancy
  • You are pregnant with medical complications
  • A twin birth is expected

From the ninth month of pregnancy, please ask your doctor for a medical certificate that includes your expected due date.
For more information or assistance with your booking, please contact the Assistance Team.
The completed MEDIF form must be submitted to the Customer Center during the booking process. The Customer Center will review your documentation to confirm that it is complete, includes a positive travel assessment, and specifies whether a companion is required. Please bring your medical documentation in paper format to the airport and present it upon request during check-in or at stopovers.

Advice

Travel is not recommended within 7 days before and after delivery, or if there is a risk of premature delivery or other complications. Travel is also not recommended for newborns in the first 7 days of life. They will only be accepted on board with prior medical authorization from the MEDIF.
If you're traveling with a companion (recommended after the 28th week of pregnancy), ask for them to have a seat next to you to assist you throughout the journey. During the flight, don't tighten your seatbelt too much and keep it higher than usual.  Promote blood circulation: wear support stockings and indulge in a massage. If possible, choose an aisle seat so you can move freely. During the flight, drink plenty of water and avoid carbonated drinks.
For safety reasons, seats near emergency exits cannot be occupied by women in an advanced state of pregnancy.
