Where you can find this service

This service is available:

  • Aboard the entire long-haul fleet (Airbus A350, Airbus A330-200 and Airbus A330neo);
  • Aboard the short- and medium-haul Airbus A320neo, A321neo and A220 fleet.

The connection service will be active on all aircraft from an altitude of 10,000 ft, with the exception of the Airbus A220, where it will be available from boarding to disembarkation.

What connectivity services are available

The range of services varies according to the type of aircraft, the route (short, medium or long haul) and the duration of the flight.

By logging in to the in-flight portal, you can find the services on your flight and their features, allowing you to choose the package that best suits your needs.

To activate in-flight connection, you need to perform these simple steps:

  • Put your device in Airplane mode and turn on Wi-Fi;
  • When allowed, connect your PC, tablet or smartphone to ITAAirwaysWIFI, open the browser, and you will be automatically directed to the ITA Airways portal. 
  • Select the Internet package you want by following the instructions on your device.

The table below shows the prices of the services you can purchase depending on your flight:

  • On A330-200 aircraft, the Free Messaging package is valid for the entire flight.
  • Depending on the aircraft, the amounts and related transactions may be expressed in USD or Euro. For transactions in Euro, the amounts shown here are merely indicative as the actual amount charged will be determined based on the USD/EUR exchange rate applied on the transaction date by the issuer of the credit card used for payment.

N.B.:

  • The Wi-Fi service available on board the Airbus A320neo is being launched gradually and will be active on board all these aircraft by the end of 2025.
  • Phone service is available only on the Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Availability of the service and international roaming charges applied depend on your operator’s agreement with the roaming service provider on board (Aircraft).
  • We offer global satellite coverage. However, during travel, signal strength may be weak or interrupted due to flying over areas where communication services are restricted by local regulations (e.g., India), weather-related or other phenomena that interfere with the connection, or transitions between satellite regions.
