BOOKING OFFICE

I have an Alitalia ticket (whose number begins with 055-) issued with Alitalia before August 26 to fly after October 15. My flight has been canceled. Can you offer me assistance with reimbursement and/or compensation? 
For Alitalia tickets (whose number begins with 055-) issued before the start of ITA Airways sales (26/08/2021) it is recommended to contact Alitalia for additional information on ways of receiving a refund.                                         

I have a ticket issued by Alitalia to fly after 15 October. My flight has been canceled. Can you offer me assistance for rebooking on an ITA Airways flight for the same date/destination? 
For Alitalia tickets (whose number begins with 055-) issued before the start of ITA Airways  sales (26/08/2021) it is recommended to contact Alitalia for additional information on ways of receiving a potential rebooking.                                         

Are Alitalia tickets issued before 26 August on Code Share flights operated by partners and vice versa  for travel from 15 October still valid? (e.g. FCOATL operated by DL) 
For tickets for Code Share flights (those with a number starting with 055- for flights operated by an airline partner of Alitalia) issued before 26 August, the same system applies as for flights operated by Alitalia. It is recommended to contact Alitalia for information on any potential ways to rebook.

I am in possession of an Alitalia ticket (whose number begins with 055-) issued before 26 August, unused and left open for future bookings. Can I use it on ITA  Airways  flights? 
In this regard, it is recommended to contact Alitalia directly.

Can I use the Alitalia voucher (TCV) in my possession to book a flight on ITA Airways services? 
This is not possible due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan. It is recommended to contact Alitalia for information on how to refund/rebook.

Is there an ITA Airways app to make reservations, purchase tickets and check in? 
Yes, there is an ITA Airways app that can be easily downloaded from the app stores

On your site, I can't find the possibility to register and access a page similar to My Alitalia.When will this feature be available? 
In the upper left part of the home page there is a LOGIN SIGN UP button which offers the possibility to register for the Volare Loyalty Program

LOYALTY PROGRAM

Is my MilleMiglia Ulisse, Freccia Alata, Freccia Alata Plus or ALITALIA card still valid on ITA Airways  services?                                                          
The cards of the MilleMiglia program and its exclusive clubs (Ulisse, Freccia Alata, Freccia Alata Plus, Freccia Alata Plus) are not valid on the VOLARE program owned by ITA Airways .                     

The MilleMiglia program belongs to Alitalia Loyalty SpA with which ITA Airways , by virtue of the conditions set by the European Commission, cannot have any commercial relationship. 

Will I be able to use the miles from the ALITALIA program to buy award tickets on ITA flights? 

Due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to acquire, even through a competitive procedure, the Alitalia MilleMiglia Program. It is therefore recommended to contact Alitalia for information on how to manage the miles accumulated and not used by the date of 15/10/2021, the date of the start of ITA Airways operations. Alitalia miles cannot be used on ITA Airways flights. 

My award ticket has been canceled. Can I rebook on ITA flights? 
Due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to acquire, even through a competitive procedure, the Alitalia MilleMiglia Program. ITA Airways therefore intends to adopt a new loyalty program as soon as possible that is efficient, modern, oriented to the needs of customers and which allows greater access to the services offered by the company and its partners.                     

The travel document issued by Alitalia cannot be recognized on ITA Airways  flights. 

Can I enroll in your ITA Airways loyalty program? Can you register me?
Subscriptions to the flying program are active, if you have joined the program by 15 November 2021, you will be entitled to a welcome bonus of 10,000 points ("Welcome Bonus") to be used within the program once the functionalities of use are active. Specifically, the Welcome Bonus will be credited to your Member Points balance by 31 December 2021, provided that you have purchased at least one return flight or two one-way flights to be made by 31 December 2021.

I signed up for the Volare program but did not receive a membership number: 

Thank you for joining the Volare program. The sending of a membership number is not planned in this pre-enrollment phase; this will be sent to you starting from 01/01/2022 

The purchased flights contribute to the collection of the points provided for by the Volare program: 

Yes, all flights purchased and flown in this pre-enrollment phase contribute to the collection of points on the Volare program. Flights will be converted to points by 01/01/2022. 

Flight tracking will take place automatically if you purchase tickets on the ITA Airways site by logging in to your personal area. 

For all other forms of purchase, the system will activate in a second phase a request for accumulation of points based on the booking details of the ticket flown.

From when will I be able to see the points collected? 
The points collected on flights purchased and flown in this pre-enrollment phase will be visible from 28/02/2022 on your “Volare” account. 

What are the benefits of the various tiers of the “Volare” program? 
Some examples of the benefits that can be obtained with the acquisition of a "fly" program status are available at the following link: Program. The member will receive communications in the coming months of all the services they can access. 

As a Premium or Executive Member, can I benefit from free seat pre-assignment?

Effective from 28 February, all Premium and Executive members are entitled to free seat pre-assignment. Therefore, please follow the instructions below:

  • contact the Customer Center at 800 936090, which will assign you your free seat, after verifying your club membership;
  • show your digital card directly at the check in counter.

As a Plus, Premium, Executive member am I entitle to receive a complimentary extra baggage allowance?

Effective from 31/01/2022, all Plus, Premium and Executive member will receive a complimentary baggage allowance according to the following table.

Therefore, please follow the instructions below:

  • contact the Customer Center at 800 936090, which will assign you your complimentary baggage allowance, after verifying your club membership;
  • show your digital card directly at the check in counter.

ANCILLARY

I can't find the Car Rental and Hotel page on the ITA Airways website. Can I have access to the rates by booking them by phone with ITA Airways ? Are there other sections of the ITA Airways website? Who should I contact to get the fares? 
These features will be available soon. 

Can I still use my Gift Card? 
Due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to honor Alitalia tickets issued before the start of ITA sales (26/08/2021) and with flight dates after the start of ITA Airways  operations (15/10/2021). It is recommended to contact Alitalia for additional information. 

Can I use my "Group Gift"? 
Due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to honor Alitalia tickets issued before the start of ITA Airways sales (26/08/2021) and with flight dates after the start of ITA Airways  operations (15/10/2021). It is recommended to contact Alitalia for additional information. 

Does pre-assignment require a supplementary fee?         
The pre-assignment purchase functionality is available for a supplementary fee on the website during online check-in, at the travel agency, at the airport or by contacting the ITA Airways Customer Center. 

CORPORATE

I am a Corporate customer: is my Corporate card still valid? 
The Corporate Charter is managed within the MilleMiglia Alitalia Program and due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to acquire, even through a competitive procedure, the Alitalia MilleMiglia Program. ITA Airways  therefore intends to adopt a new loyalty program as soon as possible that is efficient, modern, oriented to the needs of customers and which allows greater access to the services offered by the company and its partners. 

I am a Corporate customer: will I have access to dedicated services?

Since the ABC program is managed within the Alitalia loyalty program, due to the conditions set by the European Commission for the approval of ITA Airways 's business plan, the latter will not be able to acquire, even through a competitive procedure, the Alitalia MilleMiglia Program. ITA Airways therefore intends to adopt a new incentive program as soon as possible that is modern, oriented to the needs of customers and which allows greater access to the offer of the company and its partners.                                          

I am an ABC (Alitalia Business Connect) customer: does ITA Airways have a new program, similar to ABC, which I will be able to sign up to?

Do you have a specific offer for universities? 
ITA Airways  intends to adopt a specific offer for universities as soon as possible. 

I am a customer subscribed to the Alitalia newsletter. Will I also receive your special offers? Do I have to subscribe to your newsletter? Can I do it from the ITA Airways website? 
At the moment these features are not available and will be implemented as soon as possible on the ITA Airways site. 

I am a Corporate customer: Is my access to the Alitalia Connect community also valid for ITA Airways services?

PAYMENT

I purchased a ticket (whose number starts with 055-) on the ITA Airways sales channels before 15 October. Why was the debit made by Alitalia in my credit card statement? 
From 26 August to 14 October, the ticket sales service for ITA was carried out by Alitalia, which managed the payment processing phase in its own name and on behalf of ITA. The ticket issued by ITA Airways will therefore be fully valid despite the fact that a debit in the credit card statement appears in the name of Alitalia. 

FARES

I can't find the Youth, Military and Family rates page on the ITA Airways website. How can I book them? 
You can book these rates by contacting the ITA Airways Customer Center, or by contacting your trusted travel agency. 

COVID

ON BOARD

What are the travel classes? 
In this first phase there will be three travel classes for intercontinental flights (Business, Premium, Economy), two for international flights (Business, Economy) and two for domestic flights (Superior, Economy).

What services are offered on board on the different classes and destinations? 
The services offered will be consistent with the travel class and in line with the anti-Covid provisions in force. For further information please visit the website at the link Travel Classes.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

How can I book special assistance (e.g. UMNR, WCHR)?                                                                                                                   
To request special assistance, you can contact the ITA Customer Center.

HOW TO REQUEST THE CORRECTION OF NAME

It is possible to request the correction of the name on the ticket issued by writing to BookingsChangesRefunds@itaspa.com  upon payment of a supplement of EUR 25 .

The ticket is not transferable and the correction of the name is allowed only for changes attributable to the person holding the ticket and only for the following cases:

  • Correction of the attribution MR/MRS
  • Typing error (maximum three characters)
  • Reversal between surname and first name
  • Change of surname following marriage or divorce
  • Change of legal name by decree or as a result of a change of sex
  • Nickname to be replaced with full name

  1. Original Last name/First name: BATTISTA GABRIELLE  -> Corrected Last name/First name: BATTISTA GABRIELLA
