Fly on SAF

Companies that share the goal of increasingly sustainable aviation can join Fly with SAF and contribute to the purchase of environmentally-friendly fuel to reduce their own carbon footprint.

The program is designed for cargo companies and companies whose staff fly for business.

The contributions from participating companies are used by ITA Airways exclusively to cover the additional cost of sustainable fuel compared to conventional fuel.

Membership of Fly with SAF is confirmed by issuing a certificate showing the CO2 savings achieved through the use of SAF purchased with the customer company’s voluntary contribution. A fully certified process by the leading independent greenhouse gas verifier for aviation, airports and shipping, accredited for CORSIA, EU ETS, UK ETS, ACA, EU MRV, CSI and IMO DCS.

What is Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)?

SAF is a biofuel produced from waste materials from various sources that can reduce emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional aviation fuel. A wider use of SAF will dramatically reduce the emissions caused by air transportation. Because SAF is currently much more expensive than conventional fuel, travelers’ contributions can help accelerate the adoption of this innovative fuel.
