HOW IT WORKS
It's really very simple!
- Choose a flight to your preferred destination;
- Below the price of your flight you will see the option “Time to Think”;
- Select the option and confirm the price of the service;
- Proceed with payment and receive an email confirmation. The fare will be frozen for the selected period of time!
Have you decided to go? Then you're just one step away from packing your bag!
- Enter the "Manage your flight" section on the website ita-airways.com or in the ITA Airways app;
- Enter the PNR you received by email and your last name;
- Complete your booking by paying the ticket price!

WHERE CAN I AVAIL OF THE "TIME TO THINK" SERVICE?

I HAVE TAKEN TIME TO THINK. HOW CAN I COMPLETE MY PURCHASE?
It's very simple, just enter the "Manage your flight" section, enter your last name and the booking code received by email, click on "Confirm booking" and make the booking payment as follows:
- Within 72 hours of freezing the fare, for departures in more than 30 day’s time;
- Within 48 hours of freezing the fare, for departures in the next 29 to 8 days;
- Within 24 hours of freezing the fare, for departures in the next 7 to 4 days, exclusively in Italy, Europe, Middle East or North Africa;
CAN I USE MY VOLARE POINTS TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE AND/OR FLIGHT?
No, currently it is not possible to use Volare Points to pay for the "Time to Think" option or later while purchasing the ticket.
CAN I BUY INSURANCE FOR MY TRIP?
Of course! Any insurance can be added one you decide to exercise the option and buy the ticket for your flight!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY TIME TO THINK RUNS OUT?
Once the selected period of time elapses, if you have not made the purchase the frozen fare will be cancelled.
CAN THE "TIME TO THINK" SERVICE BE REFUNDED?
The cost of the service is not refundable; you will only be entitled to a refund if there is an unexpected change to the flight schedule or a cancellation during the selected time period that is not compatible with your travel plans. To request a refund, you will need to contact our Customer Center
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The “Time to Think” service is only available for flights operated by ITA Airways (excluding codeshare flights) booked exclusively via the ITA Airways website and app. It allows you to freeze the fare of the selected flight for 72, 48 or 24 hours, depending on the departure date and the flight destination, starting from the moment you pay for the service. The maximum time within which you can purchase the flight at the frozen fare will be indicated at the time of selecting the option and will also be sent to you by email after paying for the service, together with the booking code;
- In the case of selecting a promotional price with a limited validity period, the price freeze will only apply for the duration of the special offer. For example: if there is a discount valid for 24 hours, the price can only be locked for that period of time and not for 72 hours;
- The cost of the service for flights in Italy is: €10 for departures in more than 30 days, €15 for departures in the next 29 to 8 days, €20 for departures in the next 7 to 4 days;
- The cost of the service for flights in Europe, Middle East and North Africa is: €15 for departures in more than 30 days, €20 for departures in the next 29 to 8 days, €25 for departures in the next 7 to 4 days;
- The cost of the service for flights in the rest of the world is: €25 for departures in more than 30 days, €30 for departures in the next 29 to 8 days;
- The cost of the service is per passenger (with the exception of children under the age of 2, for whom the service is free) and does not vary if the flight is one-way or round-trip;
- The cost of the service is non-transferable and non-refundable and will be charged regardless of the completion of the ticket purchase;
- It is not possible to exercise the option for a part of the flight / for a selection of passengers;
- For domestic and international flights, the “Time to Think” service is only available from at least 4 days before the date of departure; for intercontinental flights, it is available from at least 8 days before the date of departure;
- At the end of the selected period the booking will be cancelled, and you will necessarily have to make a new search;
- When selecting the "Time to Think" option, you cannot pay for the option or the ticket using your Volare points.
- ITA Airways reserves the right to change the cost and to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
