Gate2Gate: connected for your entire time on board

With the new Gate2Gate service, Wi-Fi is available for your entire time on the plane: connect as soon as you board and stay online right up until arrival. This gives you more time to send messages, look up information, or browse online—with no need to wait for takeoff or to get off the plane.

Wi-Fi is available on the following aircraft. When you can connect depends on the aircraft type:

  • Airbus A330neo and Airbus A321neo: With the Gate2Gate service, you can connect as soon as you board and stay online until arrival.
  • Airbus A350-900: You can connect once you reach 10,000 feet of altitude.
Messaging
Stay connected with whomever you want using this service, which allows you to enjoy instant messaging apps on your devices.
Photos and videos are not supported. Premium Full Flight
Enjoy full internet access with this service: send emails and messages with photos and videos, browse the web, and stream content on board.

The range of services varies according to the type of aircraft, the route (short, medium or long-haul) and the duration of the flight (≤90 min and >90 min).

By connecting to the in-flight portal, you can find the services on your flight and their features, allowing you to choose the package that best suits your needs.

To activate the connection, just follow these simple steps:

  • Put your device in Airplane mode and turn on Wi-Fi.
  • When allowed, connect your laptop, tablet or smartphone to the ITAAirwaysWIFI network and open your browser. You’ll be automatically redirected to the ITA Airways portal.
  • Select your preferred Internet package by following the instructions displayed on your device.

On board, our staff will hand you a voucher with a code. Once connected to the ITA Airways Wi-Fi portal, enter the code in the designated field to stay connected throughout your journey using your favorite messaging apps.

Please Note

We offer global satellite coverage. However, during travel, signal strength may become weak or be interrupted due to flying over areas where communication services are restricted by local regulations (e.g., India), or due to weather-related or other phenomena that interfere with the connection or passage between satellite regions.

Thailand: The Gate2Gate service is not available at the Bangkok stopover due to local regulatory restrictions related to domestic airspace. Wi-Fi can therefore only be used above an altitude of 10,000 feet. It becomes available once the aircraft has climbed above this altitude after takeoff from Bangkok and is disconnected when the aircraft descends below the same threshold before landing at this stopover.
