HOW IT WORKS
It's really very simple!
- Choose a flight to your preferred destination;
- The option "Time to think" will appear below the quoted value of your flight, but only if your flight departs at least 8 days after the date on which you carry out the search;
- Select the option and confirm the price of the service;
- Proceed with the payment and receive a confirmation by email. The price is locked for 72 hours!
Have you decided to go? Then you're just one step away from packing your bag!
- Enter the "My Flights" section on the website ita-airways.com or in the ITA Airways app;
- Enter the PNR you received by email by completing it with your last name;
- Finish your booking by paying the ticket price!

The service is available exclusively on the website ita-airways.com and via the ITA Airways app
I HAVE LOCKED IN THE PRICE. HOW CAN I FINISH MY PURCHASE?
It's very simple: just enter the "My flights" section, enter your last name and the booking code received by email, click on "Confirm booking" and make the booking payment within 72 hours of holding the fare.
CAN I USE MY VOLARE POINTS TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE AND/OR FLIGHT?
No, currently it is not possible to use Volare Points to pay for the "Hold the price" option or later while purchasing the ticket.
CAN I BUY INSURANCE FOR MY TRIP?
Of course you can! Any type of insurance can be added when you decide to use the option and buy your flight ticket!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE 72 HOURS EXPIRE?
After 72 hours, if you do not proceed with the purchase, the blocked fare will be canceled.
CAN THE "TIME TO THINK" SERVICE BE REFUNDED?
The cost of the service is non-refundable; you can receive a refund only if your flight is cancelled or changed and the proposed option does not meet your needs, as long as it occurs within the 72-hour hold period. To request a refund you will need to contact our Customer Center
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- "Time to Think" service is only available on flights operated by ITA Airways (excluding all codeshare flights) booked exclusively on the ITA Airways website and in the app. You are allowed to lock in the price of the selected flight for 72 hours that will be counted from the moment you pay for the service. The maximum time within which you can purchase the flight at the locked-in price will be indicated at the time of selecting the option and will also be sent to you by email after paying for the service, together with the booking code;
- If you choose a promotional price that is of limited validity, the locked-in price cannot exceed the promotional fare sales period. For example: XX% discount for 24 hours: you can hold the price up to 24 hours instead of 72;
- The cost of the service is €10 for domestic flights , €15 for international flights and €25 for intercontinental flights for each passenger (with the exception of children under the age of 2, for whom the service is free) and does not vary if the flight is one-way or round-trip;
- The cost is non-transferable and non-refundable and will be charged regardless of the completion of the ticket purchase;
- It is not possible to exercise the option for a part of the flight / for a selection of passengers;
- "Time to Think" option is only available for flights that depart at least 8 days after the time of search;
- At the end of the 72 hours the booking will be cancelled, and you will necessarily have to make a new search;
- By selecting the "Time to Think" option it will not be possible to pay with Volare points neither for the option nor for the ticket.
- ITA Airways reserves the right to change the amount of the cost and to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
