Fixed-Price Upgrade

With Fixed Price Upgrade , you can improve your travel experience easily and instantly.

After purchasing an Economy or Premium Economy ticket, you have the option to upgrade to a higher class  by paying a fixed amount, if available for your flight.

The upgrade price varies based on the fare of the ticket purchased and the target class available at the time of request.

By choosing the Fixed-Price Upgrade, you can enjoy the services and amenities of a higher class.

The upgrade includes: 

• Hand baggage allowance for the higher class 
  
• Priority airport services, such as priority check-in and boarding, where available 
  
• Lounge access at selected airports, for upgrades to Business

The following remain unchanged according to the original booking:

• Checked baggage, which remains as per the purchased ticket 
  
• Mileage accrual, calculated based on the original fare class 
  
• Ticket conditions (changes, refunds, and restrictions), which remain those of the purchased fare

Fixed-Price Upgrade is available on ITA Airways-operated flights with an AZ flight number.

It can be purchased for Economy and Premium Economy tickets on flights: 

• domestic flights
• European
• intercontinental

If available, the upgrade can be selected for each individual leg of the trip.

You can purchase the Fixed-Price Upgrade by accessing your booking: 

• in the ​My Bookings  area on the ITA Airways website 
• via the ITA Airways app

The upgrade is available for purchase up to 48 hours prior to the flight's departure.

If available for your flight, the upgrade option will be automatically displayed and you can complete your purchase in just a few steps.

The Fixed-Price Upgrade is not available in the following cases:

• tickets for which some special assistance has been requested
• bookings with children under 2 years of age
  
• group bookings
• bookings with pets in the cabin

The conditions applicable to booking changes after purchasing a Fixed-Price Upgrade always follow the fare rules of the ticket originally purchased (e.g., flight changes and baggage allowance).

A refund of the Fixed-Price Upgrade is only possible under the fare conditions of the original ticket and only if associated with the refund of the ticket itself.

If a connection is missed due to a flight delay or cancelation, ITA Airways will rebook the passenger on the first available flight.

• If a seat is not available on the new flight in the higher class, the passenger will be rebooked in the originally purchased class and the upgrade amount will be refunded.
• If you are rebooked on a flight operated by another airline, travel will be in the original booking class and the amount paid for the upgrade will be refunded.

• The offer is not valid on codeshare flights.
• The Fixed-Price Upgrade is considered confirmed only after receipt of the relevant purchase confirmation from ITA Airways.
