ITA Airways, in partnership with ANGSA (National Association of Parents with Autism) and ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority), is the first airline in the world to offer an Autism Program. Launched in 2022, the program consists of two paths: pre-flight familiarization, to learn about procedures and experience the onboard spaces through the simulator, and dedicated assistance on the day of travel. To properly accompany each passenger, our staff is trained to respond sensitively to the needs of those traveling with vulnerabilities.
In 2025, more than 900 people took part in the Autism Program familiarization sessions.

ITA Airways joins One Click Away—promoted by ENAC and IATA and bringing together airlines and industry associations—dedicated to people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

With a single click on the dedicated icon on the home page, customers access an immediate and intuitive path to find all the information needed to organize their trip.

ITA Airways was among the first airlines in Italy to support this project, with the aim of breaking down barriers, facilitating the travel experience, and ensuring inclusive access to services, in full respect of each passenger’s needs.

For blind and visually impaired passengers, we have introduced a Safety Briefing Card available on our next-generation aircraft, in collaboration with ENAC and the National Federation of Institutions for the Blind, with the patronage of the Minister for Disabilities.

Made in braille for blind passengers and with high-contrast raised tactile figures and enlarged text for visually impaired passengers, it provides clear information on safety and cabin configuration to ensure autonomy and awareness on board.
