Fly with SAF

Companies that share the goal of increasingly sustainable aviation can join Fly with SAF and contribute to the purchase of environmentally-friendly fuel while reducing their own carbon footprint.

The program is designed for cargo companies and companies whose staff fly for work.

The contributions of the participating companies will be used entirely by ITA Airways to cover the costs of environmentally-friendly fuel, which is more expensive than conventional jet fuel.

Membership of Fly with SAF is certified with a certificate showing the CO2 saved by using the SAF purchased with the voluntary contribution of the client company. A process certified entirely by the leading independent greenhouse gas emissions verification body for aviation, airports and maritime transport, accredited for CORSIA, EU ETS, UK ETS, ACA, EU MRV, CSI and IMO DCS.

What is SAF?

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a biofuel produced from waste materials of various origins that can reduce emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel. A wider use of SAF will dramatically reduce the emissions caused by air transportation. Because SAF is currently more expensive than traditional jet fuel, travelers can help speed up its adoption by choosing airline companies that use this fuel.
