ITA Airways has taken a step towards the mobility of the future by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus relating to collaboration in the field of UAM (Urban Air Mobility) transport in Italy.
With (eVTOL) CityAirbus NextGen, we will jointly develop a fully electric carrier capable of carrying up to four people (pilot included) over an operational range of 80 km at a cruising speed of 120 km/h – characteristics which make it perfectly suited to fast and environmentally friendly transport in cities.
A project that concerns the development of urban and proximity civil aviation which will allow ITA Airways to expand its portfolio to also include connectivity between the airport and urban centers or neighboring territories with an innovative electric zero-emission vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
