Sustainability Report

ITA Airways presents its first Sustainability Report, a document that details the results achieved in 2024 in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) area.
Although it is not subject to regulatory requirements for fiscal year 2024, the Company has chosen to anticipate European requirements by drafting the report in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) provided for by the EU CSRD Directive and adopting the double materiality approach, which analyzes both the impacts of our activities on the environment and society, and the ESG risks and opportunities for the company and its stakeholders.

Key figures for 2024

ITA Airways’ top achievements in 2024 include:

  • Fleet renewal plan: Average age 6.6 years, among the youngest in Europe

  • 65% of next-generation aircraft, with a 20%–25% reduction in CO2 emissions

  • 74% of aircraft certified under Chapter 14 for noise reduction

  • 22.8% reduction in CO2/RPK emissions compared to 2022

  • 32% of women in first- and second-line roles
