UPGRADE AT THE AIRPORT
Who can request an upgrade at the airport?
Upgrades at the airport are applicable only for flights with a 055 ticket operated by ITA Airways. ITA Airways will, from time to time, establish the categories of tickets purchased in Economy Class or Premium Economy that allow you to request an upgrade; it is necessary to verify your eligibility for the request with airport personnel during check-in and/or at the transit desk for connecting flights.
It is possible to request an Upgrade at the airport from 2 hours to 40 minutes before the departure of your flight, depending on the country of departure.
The Upgrade request is subject to seat and meal availability and will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, solely at the discretion of ITA Airways.
The following booking types cannot request an Upgrade:
1. tickets for which some special assistance has been requested;
2. tickets with bookings of infants below 2 years of age;
3. tickets with a pet in the cabin.
The Upgrade purchased at the airport does not include lounge access or additional baggage allowance but entitles you to:
- Have a priority baggage tag
- Enjoy use of the Fast Track lane for security checks
- Priority boarding

Any additional options such as seat selection that you may have purchased are not refundable.
