ITA Airways was the main sponsor for the Centenary of the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.
Four aircraft in the ITA Airways fleet with blue livery bear the Logo of the Celebrations of the "Monza 100" racetrack: first of all the Airbus A350-900 dedicated to Enzo Ferrari, founder of the famous Ferrari team, to which are added the Airbus A330 Tazio Nuvolari and the two Airbus A319 named after Alberto Ascari and Michele Alboreto.
The Airbus A350 Enzo Ferrari was the star, in its maiden flight in Monza, of the opening ceremony of the Italian Grand Prix (11 September 2022) leading the way for the air passage of the Frecce Tricolori, to the tune of the Italian national anthem.
This aircraft flew over Monza with zero CO2 environmental impact thanks to the use of SAF, the most ecological aviation fuel in the world for a unique event in Italy: the first time that the Italian flagship airline is present at the Italian Grand Prix and that the Frecce Tricolori acrobatic demonstration team performs together with an airliner.
