Following the announcement of general strike in public and private sectors, including ground handling staff at Milan Linate and Venice airports scheduled for Friday, 29 November, there may be some changes to ITA Airways' flight operations. The airline has been forced to cancel 109 flights, including 18 international and 91 domestic.
A list of canceled flights is available here.
ITA Airways advises all travelers who have purchased a ticket for the day of the strike to check the status of their flight before going to the airport, on the ita-airways.com website, in the Flight Info page, or by contacting the travel agency where they purchased the ticket.
Travelers holding tickets and eventually affected by a cancellation or schedule change of the above ITA Airways flights on 29 November can rebook their flight at no additional cost or penalty. Alternatively, they may request a full ticket refund (only if the flight was canceled or delayed by 5 hours or more) within 4 December, by calling the airline at +39 06 8596 0020* or by contacting the travel agency where the ticket was bought.
