On the occasion of the G7 Summit to be held in Italy from 13 to 15 June 2024, the Italian Ministry of the Interior has announced, pursuant to Articles 25 and 27 of Regulation (EU) 2017/399, the temporary restoration of border checks for entry and exit from the Italian national territory.
As a result, for all intra-EU flights entering Italy until 18 June 2024, it will be necessary to provide the details of the identity document that will be used for travel during the check-in process.
During this period, we advise passengers to consider traveling with their passport in order to expedite border control procedures by using the available E-Gates where present.
