Following the announcement of 4-hour strikes by Flight Controllers and Airport Handling staff on Sunday, 15 December, there may be some changes to ITA Airways' flight operations. As a result, the airline was forced to cancel 37 domestic and international flights scheduled for 15 December.
A list of canceled flights is available here.
ITA Airways advises all travelers who have purchased a ticket for the day of the strike to check the status of their flight before going to the airport, on the ita-airways.com website, in the Flight Info page, or by contacting the travel agency where they purchased the ticket.
Travelers holding tickets and eventually affected by a cancellation or schedule change of the above ITA Airways flights on 15 December can rebook their flight at no additional cost or penalty. Alternatively, they may request a full ticket refund (only if the flight was canceled or delayed by 5 hours or more) within 20 December, by calling the airline at +39 06 8596 0020* or by contacting the travel agency where the ticket was bought.
