Following the announcement of 24-hour strikes by the ground handling staff at Milan Linate, Bologna, and Venice airports scheduled for Tuesday, 24 September, there may be some changes to ITA Airways' flight operations. The airline has been forced to cancel 28 domestic and international flights, 26 of which were scheduled for 24 September.
A list of canceled flights is available here.
ITA Airways advises all travelers who have purchased a ticket for the day of the strike to check the status of their flight before going to the airport, on the ita-airways.com website, in the Flight Info page, or by contacting the travel agency where they purchased the ticket.
Travelers holding tickets and eventually affected by a cancellation or schedule change of the above ITA Airways flights on 24 September can rebook their flight at no additional cost or penalty. Alternatively, they may request a full ticket refund (only if the flight is cancelled or the delay on departure exceeds 5 hours) within 29 September, by calling the airline at +39 06 8596 0020* or by contacting the travel agency where the ticket was bought.
