The countries that fully adhere to the Schengen agreements are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Malta. Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein are not members of the EU but have associated country status.

As of 1 October 2021, the UK government has decreed that it will no longer be possible to enter the UK with an ID card, but will require a passport with a remaining period of validity equal to the length of your stay.

COMMUNICATION OF PERSONAL DATA TO THE USA - SECURE FLIGHT PROGRAM

In accordance with the Secure Flight* program administered by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), passengers flying to, from, or through the United States, or flying over U.S. airspace to other countries (e.g., Canada, Cuba, and Mexico), are required to provide the following personal information at the time of booking or ticket issuance, or no later than 72 hours prior to departure:

• first name and surname (as stated in their passport)
• date of birth
• sex

Failure to provide these details will mean the passenger will not be able to depart.

Contact the Customer Centre or ask your travel agency to include them in your booking.

Passengers in possession of a Redress Number identification number should also communicate this information to the Call Center.

E.S.T.A.

All Visa Waiver Program (VWP) travelers travelling to or transiting through the United States for a stay of less than 90 days for tourism or business must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) prior to travel. You must apply online and receive approval at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Every passenger, including children and infants, must have an individual passport.
Without this authorization, the US authorities will not allow you to board the flight.

Complete the E.S.T.A. procedure online, subject to a credit card payment of $14.

VISA

Passengers who do not meet the requirements to travel under the Visa Waiver Program (e.g. a stay of more than 90 days) must apply for a regular visa at a US embassy or consulate.

FINGERPRINTS OR PHOTOGRAPHS

Upon arrival in the United States, passengers must go through the fingerprinting and photographing process at immigration.

ETA

The Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is the entry requirement for foreign nationals, other than US citizens, traveling to or transiting through Canada without a visa.

The eTA is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner.

Applying for an eTA is a very simple online process and costs C$7. Most applicants receive approval within minutes of submitting the online form.

• credit card

You can apply for one person at a time. For example, a family of three will need to complete and submit the form three times.
