Fly with ITA Airways from Brindisi to Alghero and discover the wide range of advantages available to you
Book your ITA Airways flight from Brindisi to Alghero and discover a unique land, among fantastic beaches, enchanting landscapes and picturesque streets.
Set in the Riviera del Corallo, so called for the presence of red coral, this Sardinian city is full of charm not only for its famous beaches, but also for the picturesque old town characterized by Catalan-style buildings, legacy of the Aragonese rule.
By booking an ITA Airways flight from Brindisi to Alghero you can enjoy its fantastic sea, get lost in the maze of its narrow streets among the shops of artisans working coral, antique shops and delicious restaurants, but also visit the characteristic caves or admire the remains of the Nuragic civilization. Here are some of the things not to be missed on a trip to Alghero.
WHAT TO SEE IN ALGHERO
- - BEACHES. White sands, turquoise sea and beautiful natural landscapes. The coast of Alghero will leave you breathless, starting with one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe: the Pelosa beach in Stintino, characterized by a Caribbean sea. However, it is worth visiting them all: from the very popular beach of Bombarde to the pink beach of Porto Ferro, from the beach of Mugoni and Dragonara to the hidden coves of Lazzaretto.
- - CAVES OF NEPTUNE. Underground lakes with sandy beaches and imposing stalagmites: these are the caves of Neptune, a fairytale landscape in the heart of the Capo Caccia promontory. To reach them you can decide to go down the 654 steps carved into the rock or take advantage of one of the many ferries that sail from the port of Alghero or from the beach of Dragonara.
- - NURAGHE. In your trip to Alghero you can combine the relaxation of the sea with interesting cultural tours. Not far from the city there are in fact some of the most important archaeological sites of the Nuragic civilization: the village of Palavera, characterized by large towers surrounded by fifty huts, and the Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju, the largest in Sardinia with 38 tombs carved into the rock dating back to 3200-2800 BC.
WHEN TO GO TO ALGHERO
The best season to visit Alghero is definitely summer, the best time to enjoy the fantastic beaches but also take advantage of the many scheduled events, including the Sardinia Film Festival, taking place from late June to mid-July. If you choose to book a flight in spring you can take advantage of the better climate to discover the city, while in winter you can take a trip to the Archaeological Museum and the Coral Museum.
