ITA Airways informs that the departure baggage handling system at Rome Fiumicino Airport has resumed functioning correctly after the malfunction encountered yesterday.
The Company immediately worked with the airport operator and suppliers to minimize as much as possible the impact on customers and the regularity of operations, which today is also affected by air traffic control restrictions throughout the Italian national territory.
90% of the mishandled baggage has been redirected, and the Company expects to complete the shipment of the remaining 10% of the baggage still present at Fiumicino by the end of today.
ITA Airways is also working to keep its passengers informed both at the airport and on board its flights.
ITA Airways apologizes for the inconveniences experienced by its Customers in recent days and emphasizes that the issues encountered are beyond its control and not the Company's responsibility. ITA Airways continues to work with the aim of returning its operations to normal by the end of today.
