The dedicated check-in counter at Fiumicino Station can be used by all ITA Airways passengers who have a combined train and plane ticket, except for those bound for the USA and Israel who, at the express request of the authorities of the destination countries, will have to check in at the counters in the departure terminal.

HOW DO I BUY A TICKET?
To buy your plane + train ticket on our website or app, follow these simple steps:
- Search for the city of departure, the city of destination and choose the class of service; currently the class of service is only selectable for a part of the flight;
- Select your itinerary and purchase a single ticket that includes both travel options.
For the train route you will need to refer to the terms and conditions of each rail operator. The terms and conditions of carriage by train shall be separate and distinct from those of carriage by air.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUY A DOMESTIC FLIGHT TICKET?
No, you can only use the service for international and intercontinental flights. Domestic routes are excluded.
IS THERE ONE TICKET OR TWO?
The combined ticket with a single transaction
WILL I ONLY CHECK IN ONCE?
No, you will need to check in two times separately and you will be sent two boarding passes one for the air route and the other for the rail route.
For your flight
Check-in is up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights and 24 hours before Intercontinental flight on ITA Airways' channels. If you wish you can also check-in at the check-in counter dedicated to intermodal passengers continuing on flights operated by ITA Airways, located at the train station of the Rome Fiumicino Airport. This counter will not be available for passengers with final destination USA and/or Israel who will need to check in at the departure terminal desks.
For your train ride
Log in 72 hours before departure to the Accesrail website, enter your ticket number or ITA Airways PNR and check in. You will receive a boarding pass for the railway section at the end of the operation.
CAN I CHECK IN FOR MY FLIGHT AT THE TRAIN STATIONS?
The service is only available at the railway station of Rome Fiumicino Airport and will be dedicated to all passengers holding a Trenitalia high-speed ticket continuing with all destinations of the ITA Airways network except domestic destinations, and the United States of America and Israel.
WHICH RAILWAY STATIONS CAN BE REACHED?
The ITA Airways network (excluding domestic flights) will be connected to the main Italian and European railway stations . Where available, the transfer between the railway station and the airport is included in the ticket.

WHO IS ACCESRAIL?
AccesRail is the provider that allows the ITA Airways flight to be combined with the train route thanks to the intermodality agreements it has signed with several European rail operators.
WHAT'S THE PRICE OF THE TRAIN TICKET?
The price of transport by train is included in the cost of the intermodal ticket issued by ITA Airways for the entire origin/destination journey and it will therefore not be necessary to purchase an additional ticket. Additional charges may apply if you wish to purchase optional travel services directly from the railway operator.
HOW IS MY BAGGAGE HANDLED?
Your baggage will not be automatically transferred between the train and the plane; you will need to collect your baggage at the connecting station or airport to be able to board the next leg
CAN I EARN OR USE MY VOLARE POINTS?
Yes, but only for the air route operated by ITA Airways.

For the train ride
Arranging the rail part of the journey in the event of special situations, such as journeys with unaccompanied minors and domestic or service animals, depends on the individual rules and regulations of your railway operator.
In addition, travelers requiring additional assistance with wheelchairs or other medical equipment should consult the individual rail operator's guidelines. If you are using a wheelchair or an unaccompanied minor service provided by ITA Airways for your flight, please note that this service is not available outside the baggage claim area of the airport.
CAN I RESERVE SEATS FOR THE AIR AND RAIL ROUTE?
For the flight
The choice of seat is possible at the time of ticket purchase, online, on the site ita-airways.com and on our APP, through travel agencies, ITA Airways airport ticket offices, our Customer Center.
For the train ride
Seat selection is not possible, however it will be assigned automatically upon check-in for the train journey on accessrail.com
HOW DO I CHANGE OR MODIFY MY RESERVATION?
To change or modify your reservation, you can contact the ITA Airways Call Center by calling from Italy the toll free number 800 936090 (every day 06:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.) and from abroad at the number +39 06 85960020 (every day 06:00 a.m.-12:00 a.m. CET)
If you have purchased your ticket from a Travel Agency, you can contact your travel agent directly.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY FLIGHT/TRAIN IS DELAYED?
Delayed flight
If you miss your scheduled train due to a flight delay, please go to the train company's assistance desk at the station. A customer service representative will assist you with printing a new ticket.
Delayed train
If you miss your connecting flight due to a train delay, please go to the ITA Airways ticket office at the airport to proceed with the issuance of the new flight ticket and be automatically re-booked on the next flight.
CAN I USE MY VOLARE POINTS?
Yes, for the entire cost of the combined ticket.
