If purchasing tickets to transport animals for the purposes of adoption, Alitalia offers special rates on some domestic flights.
Fares from (*):
• EUR 69 for round trips made on the same day (fares shown do not include the service charge and are subject to availability)
• 50% (EUR 20) off the fee for transporting the animal (in the cabin or in the hold)
(*) At present, the fare is only valid for the following direct domestic flights:
from Milan Linate and Rome to the following destinations: Catania, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Lamezia Terme, Brindisi and Bari and viceversa.
These special rate tickets are not available for flights between June 29, 2018 and September 16, 2018.
How to get our special rates:
- The non-profit social enterprise should download the request form and, once completed, send it to the Contact Center at the following email address: Petadoption@alitalia.com, together with the adoption certificate, at least 24 hours before booking the flight.
- You can make your booking by calling 06-65859721 (Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:00pm).
- The Contact Center, after verifying that the requirements are in order, will issue the special rate ticket with a supplement for transporting the animal.
- All documentation should be carried during the journey and shown if asked by Alitalia staff at the airport.
